It's a pincushion, arranged in a Reiwa-era style using the Kogin-zashi technique, which is a traditional craft from the Tsugaru region, and designed with a Nordic pattern. It's stitched with ecru thread on congress cloth, and the base uses a natural-colored wooden bowl. It's filled with silicone-treated fiber cotton, which helps prevent needles from rusting. The wooden bowls are imported, so there may be some warping or small scratches. Also, because they are made of natural wood, there are individual differences such as growth rings and knots. I try to photograph the item in natural light to make the colors as close to the real thing as possible, but there may be some differences in how the colors appear depending on your device.
