Description Hidetaro Murota Born in Osaka in 1907 (Meiji 40). Graduated from the Special Course of the Kyoto Municipal School of Painting, and studied under Kayo Yamaguchi, a master of modern Japanese painting. In 1936 (Showa 11), he was selected for the Autumn Bunten Exhibition for the first time, and was subsequently selected for various exhibitions including the Nitten. He specialized in Japanese paintings with animals and flowers and birds as subjects, and left behind many works that harmonized realism and decoration. Died in 1981 (Showa 56) at the age of 75.
