Local Toy Series - Set of 11 As a service item for the First Shinkin Bank Appreciation Day, I received one doll each month for making a deposit. I couldn't find the one for August, even though I looked. Or maybe I didn't make a deposit that month. The First Shinkin Bank, which was located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, merged and became Wakaba Shinkin Bank, but it went bankrupt in 2000 (Heisei 12). The figurines appear to be made of unglazed pottery with color applied. They are very simple, and although they are different from souvenirs purchased in that area, they are uniform in size. The dolls' faces are featureless (like No-Face) (see photo 7). Kokeshi dolls, lions, and dogs have faces. The height of the dolls is about 4-6.5 cm, and the size of the box is about 6.5 cm high, 4.8 cm wide, and 3.5 cm deep. I have never displayed them, and I have kept them in their boxes since I received them. I opened them for the first time to take photos for this listing.
