The MXL770 is a functional evolution of the MXL-990, adding a low-cut filter and a -10dB pad switch. Its deep black color gives it a calm and sophisticated design. In addition to its straightforward, natural, and soft sound quality, the pad switch allows it to handle high-SPL sources like drums. It's an excellent condenser microphone for both vocal recording and streaming. I think it's a great product for the price. The shock mount is new.
