It's for summer, but the fabric isn't sheer, so I think it can be worn in spring and summer. According to a family member who wore the same item, it's breathable, light, and comfortable (the item being sold was purchased as a spare). The waist is elastic, but it looks like slacks at a glance, so it doesn't look out of place even when paired with a jacket.
