This is a 40GB hard disk drive that came with the SONY PlayStation 2 BB unit (internal type). It was removed immediately, so I think it hasn't been powered on much. To use it with the PlayStation 2, you will need a BB Navigator, etc. When connecting it to a PC using an IDE to USB adapter, etc., remove the horizontal jumper connecting the second and third pins from the left on the top side for recognition. As for the condition, (since it's old, I can't guarantee it) it was still very quiet when I connected it to a computer the other day.
