The vase offered this time is a work unique to Ryo Nishiyama, who has inherited the dignity of Mr. Funaki and the "beauty of function." It is a very large vase with a substantial weight that allows you to arrange large branches. According to Mr. Nishiyama, it wasn't made to fit a mold to be beautiful, but rather the feelings for nature and forests that he loves took this form. He said that it has a solid stability that can withstand the weight of large "branches" such as cherry blossoms, camellias, white plum, red plum, and cornelian cherries, and that it is designed to be unobtrusive like the earth, while highlighting the vitality, strength, and beauty of the trees growing in the mountains.
