This is a Meiji-era aizome (indigo-dyed) kasuri cotton textile. It's unclear whether it's Iyo-gasuri, Kurume-gasuri, or Yumihama-gasuri. Although there are stains, patches, and fraying, it's a valuable piece. It can be used as interior decoration, a noren (split curtain), or as an antique material. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to the unique smell of old cloth, including the smell of mothballs.
