It secures parts during firing, preventing shifts in the artwork due to events like earthquakes, and preserves the aesthetic appearance of the finished piece. ・Since it is not a cyanoacrylate adhesive, there is time to adjust the position before it hardens. ・By adjusting the viscosity, it can also be used for pâte de verre. Powder fusing involves mixing powder with the adhesive to create a clay-like consistency and firing it. When you want to partially fill a refractory plaster mold with color, using the powder alone can cause the powder to shift during firing, preventing the color from settling in the intended areas. However, by mixing it with fusing glue, you can place the color as desired.
