This is a 15 JEWELS pocket watch from the final generation of the famous 19 Seiko model, which was first released in Japan in 1929 as a railway watch and adopted as the JNR (Japanese National Railways) railway watch. With its high accuracy and robustness, it was a representative "working watch" made in Japan, beloved by railway staff. Production began in 1929 (Showa 4) when it was adopted as a railway watch, and it was a long seller, produced until around 1971 (Showa 46), and it also served as a military watch during the war. Based on the serial number (5D10752), this particular watch was manufactured in October 1965 (Showa 40). The movement is beautiful. There are scratches on the back cover, but the crystal and dial are clean for an old watch. It has the "仙鉄66" (Sentetsu 66) engraving, indicating that it was used by crew members, etc., at the Sendai Railway Administration from 1966.
