This is an octagonal plate purchased from an antique art dealer. Figs are carefully painted on it. The use of negative space is excellent in pieces from this era. The border pattern is painted in red and is staggered. At first glance, it looks like the common wave pattern, but it's different. It's like a snail and quite cute.
