Hand-carved chin rest in the Stradivarius style, made from hard maple quilted wood. Size: Length 12.2 cm, Width 6.3 cm, Height 2.5 cm, Weight 45 grams. Finished with a glass coating. The wood is relatively soft, producing a gentle sound. This is a handmade item by Yuji Matsuoka, a regular member of the Kogei Association. Our workshop is the only one using a glass coating for chin rests. The glass coating does not use any solvents such as thinner. It does not use urethane, varnish, or lacquer.
