This is a beautiful wine-red happi coat, hand-knitted by my mother. The actual color is a more subdued, slightly darker shade. It's a long length, designed to be worn over a kimono, making it very warm. The knitting is fine and carefully done, making it quite warm and incredibly comfortable. I had two of these made, so if anyone is looking for this type of happi coat, please give it a try.
