I purchased this at an antique market when I lived in the United States. The soft light through the milk glass is very soothing, making it a lovely lamp. You turn the key-like switch clockwise to turn it on and off. You can plug it directly into a Japanese outlet without any problems. There are no cracks or chips. There is some age-related soiling, a rusty appearance, minor scratches, and numerous tiny black spots on the milk glass. Overall, I think it's in very good condition. You can use the milk glass base to place accessories, etc. Please purchase this item if you understand vintage, antique, and used items.
