From bell-like cleans to bluesy overdrive tones, it can also be used to cut through a muddy mix. Blackface tones shine precisely because it's now easy to create thick tones. The historical Fender amp tone with TREBLE and BASS control tone stack, combined with the GAIN knob, further enhances the clear resonance of the strings. Furthermore, it creates the unique sound of a combo amp by passing through an optical compressor that reproduces the sound and operation of a GZ34 rectifier tube, a saturated output transformer, and the overloaded voice coil and speaker cone.
