A true-crime suspense film based on the real-life assassination of South Korean President Park Chung-hee by Kim Jae-gyu, the director of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency, in 1979. Directed by Woo Min-ho, who also directed "Inside Men," the film is based on Kim Choong-sik's non-fiction work, "KCIA: The Men Who Called Namsan." On October 26, 1979, Kim Gyu-pyeong, the director of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency (KCIA), a spy agency directly under the president, assassinated the president. Forty days before the incident, former KCIA director Park Yong-gak testified before a U.S. House of Representatives hearing in exile, exposing the corruption of the South Korean president. Director Kim, ordered by the enraged president to resolve the situation, travels to the United States and attempts to contact Yong-gak, who is also an old friend...
