I made a plate from Japanese red camphor wood from Kyushu. This is a very valuable material. Please use it as a decorative platform or a plate. There may also be wobbling associated with this. The wood grain will dry out over time. For maintenance, applying commercially available beeswax wax, walnut oil, or linseed oil (drying oil) will restore the luster. Please be aware that natural wood can warp if exposed to direct sunlight or excessive air conditioning or heating.
