This is a completely hand-wired FUZZ using three germanium transistors from the workshop. The sound overcomes the weaknesses of the old-school high-gain TONE BENDER MKII, with a high level even at the 12 o'clock position of the Volume knob, and the third Tone knob allows for flexible sound creation, including Fuzz, distortion, Over Drive, crunch, and clean tones. It's like a hidden gem, a soba restaurant in a mountain village, with a germanium drive sound! lol If you want to use it like a TONE BENDER MKII, set Drive and Tone to MAX, and Volume to 12 o'clock. For backing with the sustain of the Fuzz, and for solos with the guitar volume at full, and as an Over Drive with high practical use, adjust Drive and Tone between 0 and 12 o'clock – it's very good!! From around the 12 o'clock position on the Tone knob, the thick mid-lows characteristic of TONE BENDER are cut, emphasizing the mid-highs, making it very easy to use for backing, and making it easier to use in a FF style by controlling the guitar volume.
