I tested the game on a Retro Freak. The first game, "Chuck Rock," was released on the Game Gear in Japan, and this is the second installment. The genre is side-scrolling action. Chuck was the protagonist in the first game, but in this installment, Chuck's son (a baby) is the protagonist. The first game had no background music and was rather plain, but this one is somewhat enjoyable. However, since it's a Western game, the difficulty is high, and the controls are a bit quirky. The Mega Drive version of "Chuck Rock 2" was released in Japan and is quite a rare game, but if this Game Gear version had been released in Japan, it might have become just as rare.
