Four shikishi (square paperboards) by Kenkichi Sugimoto. I took them out of the plastic for the first time to list them on Mercari. The "Kasei no Kane" (Woman's Bell) Cast in 1966 as a bell of "Mother's Love" to pray for the growth of good children. Kenkichi Sugimoto designed the four panels with seasonal flowers: plum, peony, lotus, and chrysanthemum (representing India, China, and Japan's representative flowers, symbolizing the spread of Buddhism eastward), with the figure of Kasei (Flower Spirit) in the center. Size: Approximately 27.2 x 24.2 cm These were given as commemorative items when Osu Kannon Temple was rebuilt in 1970. According to Wikipedia: "Design of the Kasei no Kane (Woman's Bell) in the bell tower of Osu Kannon Temple (between the four panels, seasonal flowers: plum, peony, lotus, and chrysanthemum, with the figure of Kasei in the center)." They have not been displayed. They have been stored at home for a long time. There may be some age-related deterioration. I can add more photos.
