Excavated from the Kashihara ruins in Nara Prefecture. ★ 【Product Overview】 ■ The surface is polished smooth. It is translucent with a pale blue color. ■ There are holes drilled on both sides. Wear marks from the drilling can be seen inside the holes. ■ When held in the hand, you can feel a considerable "heaviness." This is a sensation unique to jade. ■ A particularly notable "feature" of this magatama is the horizontal line engraved on the "top" and the vertical straight line engraved on the "back." Based on these "features," it is presumed to be a "ceremonial magatama" used as a ritual implement. ■ This item is from my collection, but it was given to me by someone involved in a buried cultural property excavation project.
