Traditional Craft Urushi Lacquerware, Tame-nuri (Pond Lacquer) This is a beautiful Aizu-nuri (Aizu lacquerware) bowl. It has a high foot, giving it an elegant and noble shape. It's Tame-nuri, so it appears black, but when light hits it, it reveals a reddish-brown color. This is a luxurious piece featuring a round crest representing the morning glow, and auspicious gold-inlaid pine trees symbolizing the sunrise. Although it has never been used, it was stored in a wooden box without tissue paper, so there are some minor scratches inside the bowl from being stacked. Please check the photos. Therefore, I have categorized it as "Like New."
