This is a work by Tatsuhiko Kurata, a Japanese artist. It is a piece made using Tago stone, similar to the Tago monument in Yoshii-machi, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, one of Japan's three oldest stone monuments. The stone was glazed and fired at 1300 degrees Celsius. Cracks appeared along the iron streaks, a characteristic of Tago stone, and were repaired with lacquer. As you can see, it has become a work with character. Opinions may vary, so please consider this. Comes with a wooden box.
