A playable w-neck would cost over 1,000,000 yen to buy or have custom-made. This guitar was commissioned from K-Magic in Tsurugashima about 10 years ago. I wrote the design myself, and it took about 2 years to build. It cost around 650,000 yen. SG double necks are full of flaws: * Poor headstock balance * Unable to play high positions above the 15th fret * 12-string neck warps * Only good for playing "Stairway to Heaven" and "Hotel California" * Headstock breaks easily if accidentally knocked over * Heavy! Only the last flaw couldn't be overcome. However, by extending the end pin position, you won't feel the weight as much when you're wearing it, and the headstock won't droop even if you take your hands off. Fretting is smooth up to the 24th fret. It's not a set-neck, so it won't break unless you try to destroy it. The frets are stainless steel, so they haven't worn down. You'll need two amplifiers, but if you only have one, you can use an AB box. I don't have the budget to make a case. If you can pick it up, I'll discount it by 10,000 yen for your travel expenses. For shipping, I will pack it securely with cardboard and bubble wrap. Unlike an SG double neck, this is a very sturdy instrument, so I think it will arrive safely unless the shipping company tries to destroy it. A Hercules guitar stand is included.
