At our workshop, known for customizing trumpets, we've rebuilt a YAMAHA college model trumpet, the YTR-2321, to function seamlessly within modern band ensembles. The YTR-2321, while standard for its time, had some specifications that fell short for contemporary wind bands and big bands. We've upgraded it with essential features, making it a modern trumpet ready for today's ensembles. The YTR-2321, designed in the style of a Schilke, also had to be affordable for students, leading to some compromises. To achieve the true Schilke sound, we've rebuilt the tuning slide to a reverse design, with a level of precision that ensures compatibility with the tuning slides of the professional model YTR-6320 from that era. We've also added a thumb hook to the 1st slide for precise pitch adjustment. Unfortunately, Yamaha currently only offers the Schilke-style YTR-8310Z, making our customized trumpets a rare option. This is not a resale item that has only been cleaned and oiled. Furthermore, it's being offered at a super bargain price through direct online sales. ★Customization Details ◉ Rebuilt the tuning slide to a reverse design, achieving the Schilke style. We paid close attention to the machining precision, ensuring compatibility with the tuning slides of higher-end professional models. ◉ Rebuilt the 1st slide to a reverse design and installed a thumb hook. This is an essential feature for modern ensembles. Extending the 1st and 3rd slides allows for the production of pedal "F". ◉ Replaced the movable ring on the 3rd slide with a fixed ring. ★Condition The lacquer shows signs of wear, but this does not affect the instrument's functionality. A beautiful exterior doesn't guarantee good sound. The wear and tear has a certain appeal. No noticeable dents, and the slides and piston valves have been adjusted.
