Kutani-yaki Eizan kiln, gold-painted, color-painted landscape tea set. Kyusu (teapot) / set of 5 lidded teacups. No box, only the items themselves, but unused. ◎ Unused, but a vintage item from the Showa era, dating back to the 1950s-60s. There are fine cracks (kannyu). ◎ Waka poems are written in fine brushstrokes on the inside of the teacups. ◎ As you can see in the 17th photo, there are brown stains. These are spots that occur during the firing of the pottery, and are caused by the oxidation of iron contained in the clay and glaze. This is a unique phenomenon of pottery, and in many cases is not a defect, but is enjoyed as a "scenery." ◎ Kyusu size: Diameter 8cm, spout to back 13cm, handle to side 16cm, height 10cm. ◎ Lidded teacup size: Diameter 8.5cm, height with lid 7.5cm.
