This is a postcard-sized list of postal codes by town in Tokyo, featuring Shin-chan, the mascot of the Shinkin Bank. It was obtained from the Dai-ichi Shinkin Bank around 1971 (Showa 46). It's from a time when postal codes were still three digits. Although it's referred to as a "shitajiki" (a writing board placed under paper), it might actually be a postal code list sheet. The size is approximately 18.2 cm tall and 25.7 cm wide. I don't think it was used as a writing board, but it was about 55 years ago, so I don't remember. It doesn't look like it, but there might be impressions from writing. There are stains, discoloration, corner peeling, and other signs of wear. Please understand and acknowledge this.
