This is a Plarail toy of the East i train. The light turns on. Batteries will be included when shipped. (The remaining battery life is unknown) My child played with it, including attaching rubber bands, so there is some rubber band residue (see photo 2), but there are no issues with the operation. I no longer use it, so I will give it to someone who will use it. ^_^
