The upper is leather. It's very stiff at first, but as you wear it, it conforms to your feet, and the leather becomes very soft. The sole is rubber, so it's as comfortable as sneakers. I bought these as my second pair. I had the same ones and loved wearing them. After my first pair wore out, I wore these about 5 times. I no longer have the opportunity to wear these sneakers because my workplace allows for a more casual dress code, so I've decided to sell them. These have been in the shoe box for a long time.
