He tried on only one sock once but took it off immediately. They haven't been washed, and although they are unused, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. By the way, his feet are free of any conditions like athlete's foot! I use the small size myself, and they are very thick and warm, and I feel like I don't get tired easily(^^) They're great!
