The navy part is not a ribbon or tape, but the same material as the hat itself. It doesn't say it's foldable, but I used to crush it and carry it around. Some shape distortion. Gold metal plate is an accent. This price is because it will be crushed. I will crush and fold it to fit in Yu-Packet Post and ship it.
