This is a historical manga by Waki Yamato depicting the life of Ono no Otō, a real woman who lived from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the Edo period. She possesses "Ten-gan" (Heavenly Eyes), allowing her to see things invisible to ordinary people, which occasionally appear in the Ono family. Through these Heavenly Eyes, she sees a black dragon with Oda Nobunaga, a strong light with Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu, a burning castle behind Akechi Mitsuhide, flames engulfing Yodo-dono and Senhime, an earthquake at Hōkō-ji Temple, and predicts the separation of Sanada Nobuyuki and Yukimura through dreams. After her father and brother die in the Honno-ji Incident, she takes refuge with the Kujō family, but becomes completely alone after her mother's death. Choosing to live as "a single human being" rather than marrying and living as a wife, she acquires a level of refinement comparable to that of the court nobles through the guidance of Kujō Tadatomi, Kujō Kanetaka (Tadatomi's adopted son and head of the Kujō family), Hiroko (Kanetaka's wife), and Konoe Nobutada, learning waka, renga, calligraphy, and deportment. She is forced to marry a vassal of Toyotomi Hidetsugu, but divorces soon after. Later, returning to Kyoto, she gains fame by teaching calligraphy and poetry in the Imperial Court and Osaka Castle. She was discovered by Nobunaga, favored by Hideyoshi, and trusted by Ieyasu, a woman of great talent.
