This is a beautiful, colorful, hand-painted dabbin (a type of Okinawan pottery flask). Size (approx.): 9.5 x 14 cm I purchased this at the same time as the dabbin by Kiku Aragaki that I previously listed, but I've forgotten the name of the potter. I believe it's from the Aragaki family, but there is no clear kiln mark. Yachimun (Okinawan pottery) dabbin come in various sizes, but this one is slightly larger than a mug (see photo 9). I've only displayed it occasionally and have never used it to hold water or alcohol. The brown color around the mouth is not a chip, but rather an area where the glaze is thin. Please check the photos for the condition, as this item has been stored at home. - Color: Red and green decorations - Design: Combination of floral and geometric patterns - Shape: Curved ceramic shape - Material: Ceramic - Use: Decorative item or practical container Thank you for looking.
