This is a spring compass. It's old, but it works well, so I'm putting it up for sale. What I'm not sure about is the part that holds the pencil lead. I'm wondering if there might be a screw or something missing. I'm not sure, so I'm listing it as junk. I'm not sure if it will work just by inserting a new lead, even if there are no screws. I used to use it myself, but I've forgotten. The movement and the condition of the needle are very good.
