Kawahiguchi Hisao, ed., *Kofun Setsuwashu*, Asahi Shimbunsha (Nihon Koten Zensho) Although its original title is unknown, it is called *Kofun Setsuwashu*, a collection of tales concerning Heian-period aristocrats, literary figures, court ladies, Buddhist ceremonies, and monks. The first half of the text contains 46 waka tales, featuring figures from Izumi Shikibu, Sei Shōnagon, Ki no Tsurayuki, and Fujiwara no Kinto, to woodcutters and poor women. The second half collects 24 Buddhist tales, including miraculous stories of Kannon Bosatsu, temple origin stories, tales of rebirth, and ghost stories. It shares many tales with the famous collections *Konjaku Monogatari-shū*, *Uji Shūi Monogatari*, *Yotsugi Monogatari*, and *Seisuisho*.
