These are thick glass jars sold by IKEA during the early days of their re-entry into the Japanese market in 2002. I believe there were small, medium, and large sizes, and these are the medium size. They can be sealed with a silicone gasket. The lids are also made of glass, so you can see the contents from all sides, making them easy to use. I hesitated for a long time and bought them to store salt, but when I tried to use them to organize my seasonings, they were discontinued, and I haven't used them since. There are some areas that look like they've been scraped, but this is due to the manufacturing process and they are smooth. There are some minor scratches from storage, but they are not noticeable.
