This is a Nagoya obi made of Shiose silk. The dark blue ground features depictions of plants, shippo patterns, and diamond patterns in a wax-resist dye technique. The rough, watercolor-like touch makes this a very charming obi. It can be paired with soft fabrics as well as紬 (tsumugi silk). There is a stain about 48cm up from the tip of the back side.
