This is a wonderful visiting kimono by Hana Hiro Moriguchi. The entire garment is dyed using the maki-nori technique, leaving only the wave pattern in the base color to create the lines. Furthermore, the wave pattern is all highlighted with the dots of Sagara embroidery. It appears that three colors of embroidery thread are used: white, purple, and mustard. There is a tea stain about 45 cm from the hem of the front panel, a small tea stain on the hem of the okumi panel, and a small tea stain near the shoulder of the left back panel. It seems like they might come out with cleaning, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned.
