This particular rug comes from the Sistan-Baluchistan region, which spans the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Sistan Baluch rugs are known for their unique designs and excellent color palettes within the Baluch family. This rug features a vase-like motif with animals depicted on it, and the border's Gul pattern is characteristic of tribal carpets. It's a rather large runner type, making it a powerful main rug suitable for wide hallways or living rooms. As a vintage rug, it's about 45 years old, but it doesn't show much wear and tear. It's in good condition with no noticeable stains or damage, and no repairs.
