This model was manufactured in the 1970s by Matsumoto Musical Instrument Manufacturing (commonly known as Matsumoku), a prestigious Japanese manufacturer at the time, and was a special limited edition made specifically for "St. Louis Music," a major American musical instrument distributor. Matsumoku had a deep relationship with St. Louis Music, even sending employees there. This connector-equipped pickup specification is characterized by its easy maintenance and part replacement design. The dog-ear type P-90 pickups achieve a moderately mellow tone thanks to the metal covers, and feature a clear, rich harmonic sound with a sense of stability.
