It's not very thick, but rather thin and lightweight. This is a women's item. It comes with a hood and mask, so it covers your ears and mouth, making it perfect for cold days! You can ride a motorcycle or bicycle on cold days if you wear this (*^^*) The second photo is just an example of how it's worn, and the neck part won't actually be this long.
