Upon inspection, all capacitors in the power supply and main board were found to be deteriorated, with the power supply capacitors in particular leaking. They have now been thoroughly cleaned and replaced with polymer capacitors and ceramic capacitors. Long-life electrolytic capacitors made by Rubycon are used in places where polymer capacitors cannot be used (see images 9 and 10). In addition, a problem was found where the connection became unstable when connected to a PC. Upon investigation, it was found that the accuracy of the crystal oscillator used by Nikon (Kyushu Dentsu LIM-T, frequency temperature deviation ±50ppm) exceeded the recommended range of TI (temperature deviation ±30ppm), and the clock signal exceeded the specified value due to aging. The crystal oscillator has now been replaced with a high-precision crystal oscillator (temperature deviation ±10ppm), and stable operation has been ensured by adjusting the load capacitor (see image 11).
