Thank you for viewing. This was a souvenir from my grandfather's trip to China over a decade ago, and he purchased it for around 10,000 to 15,000 yen at the time. The handles feature the Eight Immortals, Taoist deities similar to Japan's Seven Lucky Gods (from left: Zhang Guolao, Cao Guojiu, Lan Caihe, Lü Dongbin, Tieguai Li, Han Zhongli, He Xiangu, and Han Xiangzi), along with Chinese poetry. It has been stored at home and is unused, but there are some slight bends in the brush tips and signs of aging. The material of the hair for all 8 brushes is unknown. Similar items are listed at high prices on Mercari, but because I cannot determine the authenticity, I am offering it at a lower price.
