I made a stole pin using a vintage Izumi glass cabochon. The cabochon is a chic blue color, and its appearance changes depending on the light. It's made of glass that imitates opal, and it's very beautiful. This vintage glass cabochon was obtained from a relative of a glass craftsman from Izumi, Osaka. The factory was destroyed in a typhoon in 2018, and they closed the factory after that, gradually selling off the remaining vintage glass stock. It's such a shame that such beautiful cabochons will no longer be made. I think there are few vintage cabochons with such a clear origin. I hope to pass this on to someone who will cherish it, including its story, and I believe it would bring joy to both the craftsman and his relative.
