This is a 13-string koto. It's a koto with a "sudare-bori" (bamboo blind carving) design and a "nami-kou" (ordinary soundboard). The carving is either "sudare-bori" or "futo-bori" (bold carving). The dragon head features "maki-e" (sprinkled picture) lacquer work. The sound is a good, typical koto sound. The koto is generally in good condition. The strings are somewhat tarnished, but there is no fraying where the plectrums touch the dragon head. You can continue to play it for a long time. How about using it for home practice in the koto club? In terms of style, it might look a little less impressive because it doesn't have a decorative border, etc. However, the sound quality is not inferior. Koto bridges and "neko-ashi" (cat's paw) feet are included, so you can start playing it as soon as it arrives. A cloth cover and a vinyl cover are also included, although they are not in like-new condition. They are convenient for carrying the koto.
