Gouzanze Myo-o (Trailokyavijaya) is a Buddhist deity in Esoteric Buddhism, a Myo-o (Wisdom King) who subdues the three poisons that pervade the past, present, and future worlds, and is considered to be an incarnation of Dainichi Nyorai (Mahavairocana). He is depicted in a wrathful form, trampling on the Hindu god Daizaiten (Shiva) and his consort underfoot, and is one of the Five Great Wisdom Kings who protect the East. Gouzanze Myo-o is known as a Buddha with the power to "return curses," and is said to have the powerful benefit of repelling curses, malice, and jealousy received from others and returning them to the sender. This power comes from the teachings of eliminating all evils of the "three worlds" (past, present, and future) or "three realms" and destroying the "three poisons" (greed, anger, and ignorance).
