This equipment was used on the dance floor, alongside a Mac, until about 5 years ago. It has some old damage from being used in actual performances, so it's being sold as junk. The Vestax VCI-100, released in 2006, was a pioneering USB MIDI DJ controller. It gained popularity as a full-fledged hardware controller for operating PCDJ software (such as Traktor LE) on a PC. It featured jog wheels that applied turntable technology, a robust build, and even won a Good Design Award. As a standalone MIDI controller without sound output functionality, users aiming for high-quality sound typically needed to prepare a separate audio interface. I was having trouble because the included Traktor LE couldn't be used when I tried to connect the VCI-100 after a long time. However, I was able to get it working for now by setting it up as follows. VCI-100 Just connect it to Windows and wait a while for the driver installation to complete. I installed Traktor from here, but it wouldn't start even after installation. VAI-40 The included driver seems to be 32-bit only, and a 64-bit driver is required. It seems to work if you install the latest ASIO driver. Some things are questionable. Settings I'll set up the sound and MIDI controller in Mixxx. Sound Settings Select ASIO and set Output 1-4. Apparently, the VAI-40 has the sound from the headphones coming out of 1-2. So, if I set the master to 1-2, both would always be playing. Set the master to 3-4 Set the headphones to 1-2. Capture2.PNG I feel like this area changes depending on the software.
