Overview "Days of Future Passed" is the second album and first concept album by the British progressive rock band The Moody Blues, released in November 1967 on Deram Records. It fused rock and orchestra, and is considered an early example of progressive rock. The plan to record an orchestral rock version of Dvořák's "New World Symphony" (Symphony No. 9) was shelved in favor of recording the band's own songs symphonically. Thanks to the combination of Derek Varnals and arranger Peter Knight, a wonderful new work was created, and the album became a masterpiece. Gatefold jacket.
