While there are some minor scratches from use, they are barely visible even when held up to the light, mainly because chopsticks were used. There is some wear on the gold trim. These are moderately sized flat plates, and the white base with blue gradation blends naturally with other Japanese tableware, making them very versatile. For example, they are perfect for omelets with fresh green salad, or for serving hamburgers or meunière of white fish.
