These are long prayer beads (small size for women) made of natural stone, crafted in a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. They have been blessed (consecrated) by a high-ranking monk and were brought from the monastery. I purchased them in China a long time ago, before the current government (I don't know if they are available now or will be in the future).
